In This Waiting is a feature-length documentary about seven Cypriots, who lost their loved ones during the conflicts and war of 1963, 1964 and 1974, and the stories they lived during the events and after, leading up to the recent findings of the remains of many Cypriots missing for over thirty years.
Sara Maamouri edited the film in Cyprus where the director Anna Tsiarta is based. The film was shot in Turkish and in Greek, and featured a substantial amount of archival footage.
In This Waiting premiered at the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in March 2011 and the North American Premiere is scheduled for May 1st, 2011 at SEE FEST in Los Angeles. Details will be posted soon.
